At the start, on some maps, 1/2/2 splitting is the best way to get a quick advantage.

The main problem with CB is that it's much more efficient to just go on a killing rage than cap shrines.

Could have been more fun if there were more Halloween elements intergrated(for characters and enviroments, maybe even halloween-event skills too)...witches hats, pumpkins, etc...instead of being in the disguise of henchmen/heroes.....now it's just PvP with crappy skill-bars and with a reward that has somewhat to do with Halloween (and only for the winners).
Once again, could have been more fun.

The rit makes for a great healer and support in this arena.

Vampiric Weapon, mend body and soul and still bound to the spirit to have full efficiency.

Maybe this is how they envisioned the class originally...^^

As it should be, shirine capping was the worst idea ever introduced to pvp, an excuse not to balence direct fighting be forcing running around and tank teams -.-.

/note: if reward for victory was unlock of skills that are used in brawl, it would be quite cool. giveing people taster of "reall" builds and then enabling them to continue playing them when not in this arena would go long way in increasing quality of casuall playerbase/

I take back my first opinion. It isn't that bad. It is just the warrior build that is completely useless as soon as you find an elementalist who knows what he is doing. Switched to assassin and although that one shouldn't work that well, it actually does. Was very surprised by how many people didn't realize they had the perfect counter available on their bar. Warriors too lazy to use Shield Bash, rangers thinking Natural Stride is there for fun only. Elementalists doing SF->Glowing Gaze->Steam, instead of SF->Steam. The first one doing more pressure, the last one actually making you survive.
Some bars are still horrible tho, that part of my opinion didn't change.
The assassin has Signet of Malice, but the only conditions available are in the last attack, so a bit useless. The rest isn't that bad.
The dervish is great when you are a tree, bad when you aren't.
The elementalist has a great bar. Too bad they had to put Steam on it. And it is arranged horrible.
The mesmer starts great with the first 3 skills. After that it gets worse. Illusion would have been a better choice (Ineptitude/Clumsiness).
The monk is just horrible. Yes, you can make it work, but that doesn't make it less bad.
The necro doesn't know what it wants.
The paragon works if your team stays together, bar isn't that bad then. If your team splits up, which the format encourages, it is bad.
The ranger one is great, basically the normal PvP-ranger with Antidote Signet instead of Mending Touch.
The ritualist shows that rits indeed don't have any good elites. The rest isn't that bad, but could have been a lot better. Wielder's Boon and/or Mending Grip would have been better on this bar.
The warrior is reminded of the lack of condition removal in this class. Can't be helped, not too bad for the rest. Can understand why they didn't put Frenzy/Rush on it.

Yeah, going 5vs5, killing or getting killed, rez, repeat is so much better than using full potential of characters

Actually, in this context, necro bar is best. Heavy degen makes everyone explode as self heals generally cant keep up, and he can survive long enough to see it happen. Thats true for both casters and physicals. in 1vs1, he should win everytime.

Funniest is N vs. E: you can just keep touching his burning back and hes gonna to die with "wtf??"

Or vs warriors, hes suddenly crippled, bleeding and /+weakened+fainted/, useless and guaranteed to die.

That is true. Syphoning 3-5 people, while keeping enfeeble on melee along with plague touch makes necro one of the most survivable classes. Then again, there's sins and mesmers...

And yes, split is marginally better than killing, unless you happen to have a really strong offensive team and other team doesn't avoid it, or you're in one of those maps with 3 shrines.

Hmm, just for my input...
Yeah, the Necro bar isn't too strong on the surface... And you don't have enough SR to use the spawned staff

But... The more I play with it, the more I love it. Constantly causing the 'sins to fail with Strip, shutting down all the melee with Enfeeble/Faintheartedness (yup, you'll outheal them Siphon), and you know... just generally throwing degen all over a format with nary enough Hex removal and weak healing, it's FUN!.

And Plague Touch vs SF, Cripslash and Wearying spam... lawl

As A ranger i'm just interrupting every single cast that necro is going to attempt. As a mesmer I would probably do the same.

opinion? I think it sucks, though that has probably got everything to do with the random people your saddled with who dont target properly who run off to attack randoms and dont cap points.

Yeah... Funny, the idea is good (well, skillbars need some tweaking) but it's people who actually ruin this thing.

My opinion about the costume brawl....it's incredibly fun!! Just like all the other event games and I'm NOT a big fan of PvP either.

This is kinda addicting which is bad because I should NOT be wasting time playing atm. Dammit Anet. I have only tried my ele and I love it. Can't really try many of my other charas because they are survivors and I'm a bit neurotic about that and I don't wanna play the derv... Most of all a team needs to stick together to keep winning.

I think I'll stick to it until I have enough balthazar faction to unlock some good skills that my heroes have been lacking. <3<3Cynn<3<3

First day was cool cuz I was most of the times with experienced people who knew what to do... Now it's hell! All the newbs and noobs running around or going solo into a mob is ridiculus... GW should add an option where you get an option for experienced people like - if you have more then 5mil experience you'd progress in a better group then the newbs... at least GW2 won't have this level cap

If it were first to 10 instead of 20, I would have played more than the dozen or so that I have.
